7-11 Speak Out Phones and refills are only available in 7-11 stores in the
United States. 7-11 Speak out uses the Cingular GSM network.
Any amount of minutes will last 365 days, which makes 7-11 Speak Out
excellent for use as an emergency phone. Minutes cost .20 each, which
ranks 7-11 Speak Out in the mid range for service costs.
If you plan on logging some considerable talk time, you would be better
served by using NET 10 which also uses the nationwide
Cingular/AT&T network. You can get twice the bang for the buck - as NET 10 is 10 cents per minute with no connect fees.
You also cannot purchase phones or minutes online, you have to go to a 7 eleven
store which is especially incovenient in areas where there is not a 7 eleven
on every corner.
