Don't let the mouse rip you off. Disney Mobile is a gimmicky service aimed at soccer moms who buy children's videos.

Disney mobile has high equipment costs for poor quality phones with cartoon characters stamped on them. Service rates are high, you must subscribe to plans (minutes don't save from month to month), and then pay text messaging fees on top of that. Disney mobile does have a variety of different service plans and parental management capabilities.

The only upside is that the service uses the large Sprint PCS network. Your alternative is Virgin Mobile and the tween focused Kajeet which also use the Sprint PCS network but have much lower service rates and equipment costs.

Disney Mobile's market is children, but somehow I don't see any kid over 12 carrying around a mickey mouse or goofy cell phone, maybe a Britney Spears phone would be cooler.

Then again keep in mind our reviews are strictly price and service quality. We don't cover the warm and fuzzy factor. Perhaps the Disney Mobile phones will become collectors items along with the matching lunchboxes.
